Job Description:

• Nature of role : Batch & Console operator and Mainframe Batch Analyst
• Shifts :  24x7
• Work Location Kolkata

Job description:

• Candidate should have min. 2 yrs of hands on experience in batch and console.
• Should have knowledge on different monitoring tolls loke Omegamon, omega view, Hardware management control, scheduler.
• Should be comfortable working 24*7 under BPS payroll 

Responsibilities:

• Execution of iTASK; handling on JOB ABENDS and executing the steps as mentioned in ticket; Handling major incidents; Support during IPL; Executing MVS LPAR maintenance activity .
• Perform Batch Monitoring services using TWS
• Batch ABEND handling
• Attend Hotline calls and provide support
• Disaster Recovery Support
• Incident Management
• Escalate deviations from batch schedule

Technical requirements

• First Level ABEND/Alert Fix
• Handling USER ABENDS
• Knowledge of VSAM, DB2
• Hands on in CMAN, FileAID
• Notify Late Batch Jobs
• Diagnostic Data collection
• Create, stage and freeze packages within the Technical Support applications to correct Procedures, Job Control Language (JCL) and Control Cards

Competency levels required:

• E0-E1 Mainframe skill set ( JCL); E0 ServiceNow; Understanding of Production Support Mainframe(mandatory)JCL,COBOL, File aid, ISPF, TSO,TWS, DB2, VSAM
