The eCommerce Photo Retoucher is responsible for ensuring images for the client’s website product pages meet standards, align to merchandising set up, and move through the workflow from start to finish. The Retoucher will be responsible for maintaining the eCommerce images according to pre-established specifications, maintaining quality control and a consistent overall look and feel. This includes processing, editing, and correcting photographic and digital images to meet web specifications. The Photo Retoucher must demonstrate a strong understanding of design principles, with specific proficiency in retouching, color correction, and photo enhancing.  The Retoucher must be familiar with web graphic production techniques and have a comprehensive understanding of image formats (EPS, TIF, GIF, JPEG, PDF), and graphic compression tools.

Responsibilities include:

• Retouch images in accordance with established style guides.
• Format and enhance all photography and image content
• Create and upload swatches
• Ensure visual consistency of product images within projects, and across brand
• Uphold high image quality standards and ensure images are optimized for the web
• Support live site image change requests as requested by Category Managers and Customer Service associates
• Utilize image optimization techniques and tools through knowledge of web design constraints, including download times, browser differences and web-safe palettes
• Meet daily goals and display flexibility when deadlines change
• Review retouching work for quality and accuracy
• Manage heavy workload with emphasis on accuracy and speed
• Consistently follow directions and procedures
• Work both independently and as part of a team
• Proof work of self and co-workers

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 1-3 years of work experience (retail operations experience preferred but not required)
• Extremely proficient with Photoshop
• Excellent web customer experience sensibility
• Proficiency with Digital Asset Management (e.g., Adobe DAM) systems preferred but not required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Extremely organized, accurate and detail-oriented
• Possesses outstanding time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work-flow
• Must be reliable and demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
• Thrives in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
• Ability to partner well with cross-functional team members
