QA Lead Job Description
Job Role: Quality Lead
Experience: 10 to 12 years
Location : Mumbai
Shift: Flexible with shifts
Role & Responsibilities:
- 5+ years experience leading a team of minimum 5-6 members
- Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
- Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers.
- Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated).
- Diagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolution.
- Partner with engineering teams to stay informed of new technologies being introduced and to ensure that system components are designed for testability.
- Respond to all requests from team members in a timely professional manner.
- Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
- Prepare detailed sprint plans with internal/external dependencies identified
- Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups, proactively record potential risks
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
- Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders)
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur. Help teams implement changes effectively
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks and tools like Jira.
- Generate tool based reports and metrics
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
Skillset:
Manual Testing
Automation testing (Selenium with java will be an added advantage)
API Testing
SEO and Tagging
Email, banner, iPad and website testing
Compatibility and cross browser testing
ISTQB certification will be an added advantage
