Job Description:

ROLE –  Controllership CoE Team Member

 

Role definition

This role provides c support to FAO client engagements and reports to CoE Lead and Customer leader / respective DDL.

 

Role objective

Ensure that F&A service delivery is flawless from an Internal Controls standpoint – covering internal controls over business processes.

 

Key Tasks

  • Review the internal control environment for F&A relationships and report on the strength of internal controls.
  • Enable the delivery team to deploy the right controls from Day1 of transition, by guiding them on control design and provide support in deploying the same.
  • Complete the Risk and Control Matrix, through a thorough understanding of business processes and related operational risks.
  • Create Audit programs and testing template for performance of RCSA.
  • Perform control testing, as needed, to assess the state of internal controls
  • Work with the Operations team on the control weaknesses observed during the audit, for their remediation. Design necessary internal controls and assist operations in their implementation.
  • Recommend best practices for a strong control environment.
  • Support External / Client audits.

 

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (with Finance and Accounting specialization)
  • Specialization in internationally recognized accounting / auditing functions such as CA, CPA is preferred.

 

 

Experience

 

  • Hands on work experience across Finance and Accounting business process cycles PTP, OTC and RTR.
  • Prior experience in any one the following domain is a preferred - Internal audit / SOX compliance / SSAE 16 audits.
  • 8 – 12 years relevant experience.
  • Exposure in ERP - SAP/ Oracle / PeopleSoft etc. is preferred.

 

Soft Skills

  • Ability to sense an actual / potential problem and effective problem solving and analysis,
  • Effective interpersonal communication and presentation skills – both oral and written, to be able to connect with TCS and Client Operations team.

  • Critical Thinking and reasoning ability.
  • Customer Oriented and Result Oriented mindset
