Job Description

 

The Role:

The Area Manager will be a Business Head for a unit, managing up-to 20 stores, and reporting directly to the City Head. The incumbent will be responsible for driving sales, controlling costs, optimize operations and control inventory of his Area. (S)he will have a team of Store managers reporting to them, and work closely with the City Head to drive business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Single point contact of all stores manager to management/City head

·         Manage and deliver the preset sales target of his region by identifying the gaps and providing required feedback to marketing, operations and other departments

·         Weekly/Monthly meetings of store managers for feedback on improvement on all key performance parameters of the unit

·         Manage the reward and recognition program for all store employees

·         Controlling inventory buildup at stores by continuous monitoring the SKU movements

·         Sales reconciliation with accounts for the unit

·         Managing all administrative and HR related needs of his unit

 

Desired Skills and Expertise:

·         5+ year experience as a regional sales  in a Pharmaceutical retail / FMCG business

·         Experience of building and managing large and diverse teams

·         Strong flexibility and problem-solving skills, with independent ownership and result orientation

·         Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to plan and manage a variety of projects

·         Commercial insight and understanding

·         Ability to thrive in ambiguity and demonstrate creativity and intellectual flexibility in an uncertain and rapidly changing environment

 

Qualifications                   : Any Bachelor Degree or MBA

Experience                         : 5+ year experience in Sales & Operations, having managed large business verticals independently

Skills                                     : Leadership, team management, sales, operations, analytics
